Barton, Binbrook, Carlisle, Concession, Freelton, Greensville, Locke, Lynden, Mount Hope, Parkdale, Stoney Creek, Waterdown and Valley Park Branches are closed All Day on Thursday, January 15, 2026 due to poor weather. Study Halls are open tonight with the exception of Waterdown and Valley Park Branches.
The following Branches open at 1pm: Ancaster, Dundas, Kenilworth, Red Hill, Terryberry, Turner Park, Saltfleet, Westdale and Sherwood.

Daily print balances for black and white and colour printing change January 2, 2026. The new daily print balance is 40 cents. Members receive four free black and white copies or two free colour copies.

Makerspace Tour
Is your organization interested in knowing more about what the Hamilton Public LIbrary's Makerspace has to offer?
Located on Circuit 4.0 4th floor Central Library . the Makerspace is made up of several spaces and equipment -- a sound studio, a video studio, 3D printers, digital media studio, large format printer, vinyl cutter and printer, and an embroidery machine. The Makerspace tour will always include an overview that will give the participants a general idea of the various projects that can be done in the space. If there is a specific topic or area that your organization would like to focus on, please indicate that in the form and we will try to accommodate this request.
Once you submit your request, expect Makerspace staff to contact you after around 2 business days.
Due to scheduling constraints, the soonest that a tour can be booked is around two weeks from the date the request is received.
