The Medical Officer of Health for the City of Hamilton is issuing a Cold Weather Alert effective tonight, Friday, February 6. A Cold Weather Alert is issued when current or anticipated weather conditions are at or below minus 15 degrees Celsius or minus 20 with wind chill. Summer is About to Get Steamier at the Steel Town Love Romance Festival
HAMILTON, ON – July 7, 2025 — Love is in the air this Saturday, July 12, 11am-4pm at Central Library as it hosts Steel Town Love, a romance readers and writers festival.
The festival includes author talks, a writing workshop, a curated vendor market, themed craft stations and the chance to star on a romance book cover using green screen technology. Readers can also unwind in a cozy lounge at the Hamilton Farmers’ Market, browse books in our catalogue, or buy from Epic Books, and connect with local writers at an author signing session.
