Effective Sunday, February 1, Sunday service hours at Central Library will be paused.
Sunday Hours will continue at Dundas, Red Hill, Terryberry, Turner Park, Valley Park and Waterdown Branches from 1-5pm.

Daily print balances for black and white and colour printing change January 2, 2026. The new daily print balance is 40 cents. Members receive four free black and white copies or two free colour copies.

Bring back your borrowed library items within 28 days to avoid a replacement or lost fee. We'll remove the fee when you bring back your overdue items.
PODs (Privacy on Demand Space)
PODs are currently available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please speak to an HPL Staff member in person to make a reservation or book one online.
HPL offers single occupancy and four-person PODs to study, work or meet at Central Library’s first and second Floors.
PODs provide a sound-proof work environment with chairs, work surfaces, Wi-Fi connection and USB/power outlets.
POD Guidelines:
- Members require a valid HPL library card to reserve either of the two PODs.
- PODs can be booked for two (2) hour sessions, with two 30-minute extensions if available, once a day. See HPL Staff to extend your time.
- PODs can be booked up to two (2) weeks in advance and will be held for 10 minutes only.
- In the PODs, only drinks and snacks are allowed, but hot meals are not permitted. Please be courteous and keep the spaces tidy.
