Taxes Now Listed Separately on Items and Services
Starting today, February 25, applicable taxes are now added and displayed separately on sale items, including HPL Shop, Makerspace and Local History and Archives items and services. Member receipts show the tax charged for each item. Black-and-white and color copying/printing remain tax-included.
Central and Turner Park Branch - Large Format Printer Unavailable
The large format printer in the Makerspace is currently unavailable. Please utilize our other Makerspace locations if needed. We will advise once it is restored to service.
Teen Gaming Volunteer
HPL offers opportunities for teens to play video games on Nintendo Switch. Teen Gaming Volunteers host sessions and assist with the set-up, take-down and monitoring of gaming equipment as part of the Teen Hub Zone program.
Volunteer Qualifications:

Ages 14-18.

Works well in a group setting.

Ability to communicate well with others.

Reliable and trustworthy.

Tech savvy and comfortable with Nintendo Switch games.
Volunteer Responsibilities:

Set up and monitor gaming equipment.

Take down equipment at end of program.
-
Ensure gaming controllers are charged.

Encourage other teens to participate.

Location and Time Commitment:

Saltfleet Branch – Thursdays 11-1pm (1 hour shifts 11am-12pm and 12-1pm)

Barton Branch - Fridays 3-4pm

Must be available to volunteer at least one shift per week
