Commercial Photography and Filming
Hamilton Public Library aims to prevent disruption of Library services and protect the privacy of Library Members and Staff.
Members are welcome to take personal photos (selfies) or videos of themselves, friends, family, or Library spaces, providing the photos/videos do not include other Library users.
All non-personal photography and filming, including news media, are coordinated by the Library’s Communications Department.
Commercial photography or film requests: The Photography and Film Request Form for commercial or advertising purposes must be submitted in writing to the Communications Department at least three weeks before the photography or filming date. HPL works with the Hamilton Film Office on filming permits. This rule does not apply to news media filming or photographing HPL sites.
Staff may provide the Photography and Film Request Form in advance to the requester. Please send the completed form to the Communications Department.
Please direct any additional questions about a photography or film request to the Communications department.
Review the Policy for more information.
