General Questions
Some eResources are available without a library card. Visit HPL online and call 905-546-3200, email askus@hpl.ca, opens a new window, or chat with Staff.
HPL permanently eliminated fines on all materials as of March 1, 2022. However, replacement fees are charged for materials more than 28 days overdue (on Oct 1, 2025 or later). When you bring them back, the fees are reversed. If no one is waiting for the item(s) you borrowed, they’ll be automatically renewed twice.
You have 21 days to enjoy your physical items.
You will be notified when your Holds are ready for pickup.
Yes. Members can access the HPL Catalogue and HPL app. Log into your Library account, browse, borrow and place new (or adjust) Holds on your devices.
