Teen Knit for a Cause

Secondary School students knit items, which are donated to people in need, in our community. Knitting instructions and supplies are provided. Beginners welcome.

Volunteer Qualifications

  • 14-18 years of age (in high school)
  • Good listening skills
  • Patience
  • Interested in and committed to learning a new skill
  • Work well in a group setting 

Volunteer Responsibilities

  • Follow instructions and advice as given
  • Perform the task to the best of your ability 
  • Practice communication skills
  • Sign in at each session 
  • Return materials/projects to bin at the end of each session

Program Locations

  • Saltfleet Branch - Thursdays 3-4pm
  • Dundas Branch - Wednesdays 3-4pm 
  • Waterdown – Thursdays 3:30-4:30pm
  • Kenilworth – Wednesdays 3-5pm
