Lisa Richter - Writer in Residence, 2026-2027

Lisa Richter is the author of three books of poetry, including Closer to Where We Began and Nautilus and Bone, winner of the Canadian Jewish Literary Award for Poetry and the Robert Kroetsch Award for Poetry, among other honours. Her most recent book, Sublunary, is now available through the University of Alberta Press. Lisa’s poetry and essays have appeared widely in literary journals and anthologies, including Best Canadian Poetry, The Fiddlehead, The Malahat Review, CV2, and The New Quarterly. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Guelph, and has previously taught at the University of Guelph-Humber, the Sage Hill Writing Experience, the Saskatchewan Writers’ Guild, the Writers Collective of Canada, and Poetry in Voice. www.lisarichter.org, opens a new window
