New Concession Makerspace

October 2026

Construction has wrapped up and on Monday, October 5, Concession Branch becomes a part of the Makerspace family. Members of the community can use a large format printer, embroidery machine, sewing machine, Cricut die-cut machine, digitization services, and a 3D printer.

The timing is perfect as we head into the holiday season, and the space will surely be busy with crafty Members making do-it-yourself (DIY) gifts and small business owners preparing for the holiday retail season. In addition to offering equipment, Concession will also provide hands-on, interactive workshops.

The addition of Concession's Makerspace brings the total of HPL Makerspaces to eight, joining Central Library, Dundas, Red Hill, Terryberry, Turner Park, Valley Park, and Waterdown Branches. By providing access to creative technology, hands-on learning opportunities, and shared community space, Makerspaces embody HPL's vision of "a vibrant and welcoming community place where people learn, connect, share, and discover."
