CNIB Phone It Forward at HPL
Hamilton Public Library is proud to participate in the CNIB Phone It Forward campaign to help empower people with sight loss.
How does the program work?
Unused smart phones are donated, repurposed and programmed for CNIB clients to help them do more things independently. Follow the steps below to get started.
- Visit PhoneItForward.ca to find out if your phone is eligible. You must answer a set of questions about the phone's make, model and condition. Based on this information, you will learn if your phone is eligible. You will also get an estimated tax receipt value for your donation.
- Pick up a prepaid Phone It Forward donation envelope from any HPL location.
- Pack your smartphone donation and the required signed documents (generated from PhoneItForward.ca) in the envelope and drop it into any Canada Post mailbox.
- When your device is received and evaluated to confirm it matches the information you provided, your tax receipt will be mailed to you.
Phone It Forward is supported by Fixt Wireless Repair.
