Do I need a library card to enrol?
No. Although it’s a good idea to get one. Register at any HPL branch or online.
How do I register for these courses?
Go to hpl.ca/tech-career. Clicking on the course title directs you to the enrolment page. You need an email address to sign up. You will then be prompted to create a netacad account.
How long is each course?
There are six available. Please check hpl.ca/tech-career for the course schedules

Is there a deadline to register?
No. However, the courses will have their respective end dates. Please check the course details for these dates.

Will I be tested/graded?
Yes. You need to pass to get a certificate for each course. But you can do them as often as you need to until you pass.
Do I get a certificate/diploma when I finish each course?
You will receive a certificate of completion when you finish each course.
Who is running these courses? HPL or Cisco?
The courses are provided by Cisco and/or its partners. The program is run by HPL.
Can I complete this course at home?
Yes. These courses are all online. Check the minimum system requirements and be sure you have a reliable Internet connection.
Is there group work?
There are activities that may require working with other learners.
What’s a learning circle?
A group of 10-15 people who meet weekly, virtually, to discuss and collaborate about the coursework.
HPL staff also assist the learners in the circle.
